The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board  conducts Post Graduate Medical Admission Test ( PGMAT ) for admission in Post Graduate Medical Course in Medical Colleges of the State of Bihar.

Important Dates
Commencement of sale of BCECE PGMAT Application Form ---08 Dec 2011.
Last date of sale of Application Forms  : 18 Jan 2012.
Last date of Receipt of   Application Forms : 25 Jan 2012 ( 5:00 pm ).

Date of BCECE PGMAT Examination : 19 Feb 2012.

Eligiblity

Eligibility for BCECEB PGMAT 2012 :

BCECE MD / MS / PG Diploma Courses and similar Vocational Courses 

Educational :

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • A candidate who is not a permanent resident / domicile of Bihar but has passed the M.B.B.S. Examination from any Medical College of Bihar State included in the Schedule of Medical Council of India, is also eligible as per the directive of the Hon’ble High Court, Patna in C.W.J.C. No.3448/2000.
  • There is no maximum age limit for appearing at BCECEB PGMAT 2012.( Vide the directives of Hon’ble High Court, Patna in CWJC Nos. 3309/2000 and 3341 / 2000 )
  • The candidate must have passed M.B.B.S. Examination from any Medical College of Bihar State included in the schedule of Medical Council of India.
  • The candidates who are permanent residents / domiciled of Bihar and have been admitted in MBBS course on the basis of competitive examination conducted on behalf of Government of Bihar or by CBSE before the bifurcation of Bihar i.e. 15.11.2000 in Medical College situated in Jharkhand and have obtained the degree of MBBS are also eligible for appearing in this competitive examination for admission in academic session 2012 in this Course Group.
  • The candidates must have completed the rotating Internship. A candidate who has passed the MBBS Examination but has not complete the rotating Internship may be allowed to appear at BCECEB PGMAT 2012 on provisional basis but he must complete the rotating Internship before the date of Counselling / interview for BCECEB PGMAT 2012, otherwise he will not be allowed to partcipate in the counselling / Interview.
  • The candidates must have obtained permanent Registration from Medical Council of India or Bihar State Medical Council. A candidate, who has not obtained permanent registration from Medical Council of India or Bihar State Medical Council but is otherwise eligible, may be allowed to appear at BCECEB PGMAT 2012 on provisional basis but he must obtain the Medical Council of India,failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled. He must also be registered after admission under the concerned University within the period prescribed by that University.

How To Apply
Procurement and Offline ( Manual ) BCECEB Form filling :

Main Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board PGMAT Application Form alongwith computer Form, Formats for residential & Caste Certificates, Envelopes A & B and BCECEB Prospectus will be on sale from 08/12/2011 to 18/01/2012 from the sale centres at :

    Patna Medical College, Patna;
    Nalanda Medical College, Patna;
    Darbhanga Medical College, Darbhanga;
    A.N. Magadh Medical College, Gaya;
    S.K.Medical College, Muzaffarpur;
    J.L.N. Medical College, Bhagalpur;
    Patna Dental College, Patna;
    Government Ayurvedic College, Patna;

BCECEB PGMAT Application Forms submitting an Account Payee Draft of Rupee 1300/- ( Rupees One Thousand Three hundres ) per set of one application form & prospectus of BCECEB PGMAT 2012. The Bank Draft must be in favour of “Controller of Examination, BCECE Board ( PGMAT )” payable at any Nationalised Bank at Patna.

A maximum of five BCECE Application Forms may be obtained by One Bank Draft.

The BCECE PGMAT Online Applicants should visit the BCECE Board Website ,  and go to "PGMAT 2012 Online Registration” page and follow the instructions given under ‘How to apply’ in order to fill the computer form online. This facility will be available only up to 20.01.2012 till 5.00 P.M.

BCECE 2012 Application Form alongwith printout of the duly online filled computer form on the BCECE Board Website .

It is clarified that ‘Online’ applicants also will have to send the duly filled print out of the computer form alongwith Main Application Form of BCECEB PGMAT and prescribed enclosures by Speed Post / Registered Post within time limit.
